JaMichael Johnson: 16-Pound Baby Born in Texas (Video)

JaMichael Johnson is the newly-born son of Janet Johnson weighing in at 16 pounds which is more than twice as big as the average weight of a newborn baby in the United States.

He was born at Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview and was considered as the heaviest baby ever born in Texas.

It was already expected by Johnson and her fiancée Michael Brown that they would be having a large baby.

Dr. John Kirk, OB-GYN of Johnson estimates that the baby would probably weigh 12 or 13 pounds two weeks prior her Caesarean delivery but JaMichael even exceeded those estimates.

“He was much larger than expected,” “Both his mother and father are large people, and she was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, which contributed to the baby’s size,” said Kirk.
