Scientists have been studying for long hours about the new virus that popped out of. There were already two people infected from the new mystery virus. Elzabeth Cohen, Senior Medical Correspondent of CNN, discusses on CNN the case of the new virus that has developed.
According to Elizabeth, people always get worried if a new virus has been discovered because they first don’t know what it is especially to its behavior. The new virus that was newly discovered is a type of corona virus similar to SARS, a virus also, but has different characteristics. The structure of these virus has a corona because its crown-like figure that can be seen under a microscope.
This virus that was discovered is not like of SARS, but it attacks the kidney stones causing kidney failures. Two people, one from Saudi Arabia 60 years old and the other from Qatar 49 years old, has been confirmed that they contain the virus.
The 60 year old man from Saudi Arabia had been gone sick for two weeks while the other 49 year old man had been sick also and is now on a hospital from UK for medical treatments. These two people once met in a golf course, but the case is not about their venue. It seems that those people knew one another.
Now, The Saudi Arabian 60 year old has left its existence while the 49 year old from Qatar is under critical condition in the hospital of UK. For now, the case of these newly discovered virus cannot be considered contagious just like SARS could be in behalf of only two recorded cases from the new virus. The investigation of the mystery virus is till on the way.
